Creating inclusive communities centered around wellbeing , resilience, sustainability, and volunteerism through behavioral transformation

Facilitate human beings to transform into conscious and responsible individuals. Sustainability and Resilience are just a consequence of such reality

The roots of our civilization is in rural India - our villages. As recently as 70 years ago, people were generally inclusive, joyous and celebrations were a way of life despite the scarcity of cash-rich resources of today. Farmers were doing conscious and subsistence farming where they grew their own food including a mix of fruits, vegetables, pulses, grams, and cereals. Overall, they ate well, were better nourished, took care of each other, and had a better quality of life despite meager income.
A villager was generally more robust, resilient and content. Education and life skills were transferred from generation to generation and their livelihoods were secure. Most importantly, “conserve and use” was the mode in which people approached every resource in their surroundings. This is nowhere to be seen today.
India cannot prosper unless rural India does. Most of the developmental efforts and endeavors have been focused on urban areas. Cities are only becoming less and less sustainable by the day.
Sustainable villages are the key to the future. To ensure that the future generations do not fall in the same trap, a culture of “conserve and use” needs to be created - a culture that made the civilizations flourish.
We need a reliable, scalable, replicable, culture of sustainability that is inclusive, transformative, holistic with the outcome of Quality of Life, Wellbeing and inherent Resilience. That's why rethinking the concept of Sustainable Model Village is required now. Any amount of development will not be sustainable until it is passed onto the next generation in an organic way. So designing the interventions with the goal of creating conscious individuals is of utmost importance who will not only sustain the culture but also be flexible to adapt when needed.

Pranava Kshetra aspires to facilitate individual transformation to become conscious by inspiring the people to form inclusive communities with the support of volunteers. This is possible through the tools for transformation that will be made available to everyone in the village
The end goal, thus, is to create a village full of volunteers who are willing to take up responsibility towards all life around them, that are willing and care for each other in the village as a community and a global citizen

The overall vision of the Model Village is Quality of Life for the community and Wellbeing for individuals while inculcating sustainability as a culture. Culture is a powerful driver for development, with community-wide social, economic and environmental impacts. It usually determines people's’ lifestyles, individual behaviour and their relationship with their environment inside and outside.
